Y’all this is super false. Roald Dahl was a huge racist just like…. use google every once in awhile. Most of his books were edited so harshly to get rid of the really blatant racist shit such as the oompa-loompas being enslaved African pygmies which is probably where this rumor came from.

He’s especially known for being a severely outspoken anti-Semite, with classy quotes like “There is always a reason why anti-anything crops up anywhere; even a stinker like Hitler didn’t just pick on them for no reason.”

And if thinking Hitler must’ve been right isn’t enough to convince you he was anti-Semitic he literally said “I have become anti-Semitic” 8 months before he died.
