I’m no Kiwi Farms-ite, but major publishers don’t pull memoirs over nothing, as people have pointed out – she could have easily given the real information under an NDA. In addition, the Twitter behavior, modifying of her FAQ, and “I’m who I say I am –> okay, I changed names, but everything else is real –> okay, yes, he’s my brother and I lied, but here’s why MY SIDE OF THE STORY IS STILL TOTALLY CORRECT” conga line is just massively, massively suspicious.
Also, how many failed memoir writers have been exposed as pretending to be part Native American? I think that’s a hell of a lot more likely than the constantly-shifting backstory about her father.
