I have a VERY extended modern au where Aeducan and her partner are two police officers who help Cadash get into a witness relocation program for turning in some members of a dangerous dwarven gang. Because you didn’t specify human: Chazzer and Trayf are, respectively, Dwight Feldman/Noah Reisberg and Danny Reisberg’s dogs (Sons of Jerusalem). Chazzer – an Anglicization of a Hebrew word meaning ‘pig’ or ‘unclean’ – is a rescue pit bull whom Noah found in someone’s backyard. Trayf, meaning ‘unkosher,’ is a rescue Weimaraner. Both of them are complete marshmallows, and are named because their people thought it was funny to be ironic (in another example of that irony, Noah and Dwight’s pet potbellied pig is named Kosher).
