Ah, yes, it’s time for my favorite kind of lecture about the importance of Professionalism:

The kind where “Professionalism” is code for “Shut up, stop thinking critically about the system you care for patients in, and show up to work with a smile on your face, or else”

#Professionalism is one of those buzzwords that has become a mockery of itself much like Wellness#I’m so happy to get lectured about how we shouldn’t want to make things better and should instead mindlessly support the status quo#Sorry but I can’t be smart enough to think critically and literally save lives but not think critically about other things#And my peers can’t either and frankly it’s not cool to be like LOOK YOU CAN ONLY THINK CRITICALLY WHEN IT’S CONVENIENT FOR US#And I think that’s a big problem in how admin deals with doctors and I’m only one and a half years into my career and I’m already sick of it
