I know that this is BTS. But I also love the idea of Bilbo just messing around with his friends and Thorin coming up to him and gently touching his shoulder, “Bilbo…Bilbo, can we talk about the quest? I need some advice.” “In a minute dear I’m showing Dwalin how I fought the spiders.”

why do i feel like this is a representation of drunk bilbo and dwalin exagerating quest stories together and then thorin coming along and being like “yes darling, the spiders, very good it’s time for bed now”
