Can we please stop trying to publicly revoke the oppressed status of light-skinned people of color as a punishment for historical or current anti-Blackness within their particular group? Anti-Blackness is disgusting and inexcusable, but a group’s oppressed or POC status doesn’t fucking go away because they mimicked PRE-EXISTING racist power structures in order to assimilate or survive.
