Honestly it’s incredible how since the trump-tears-up-papers-and-that’s-illegal story has been circulating, everybody’s response is exactly the same as it has always been — “this is demonstrably illegal! Maybe this will be what takes him down!” — instead of prompting people to realize that legality is fake, there’s nobody outside of the system who has the authority to go like “ok well he has now technically broken the law, so let’s remove him,” it’s all politics, and neither party is interested in alienating and provoking the racists who elected trump, so he’s not gonna get impeached.
@ liberals: stop waiting for him to get removed, stop standing on the moral high ground and expecting that simply by virtue of your presence there you’ll win.
Like if we have an ongoing, documented illegal activity that literally everybody knows about and nobody’s doing anything about it, maybe it’s time to grow out of the “anyday now they’ll realize that he’s breaking the law and the #resistance will win” stage
