The Korat (Khorat, Malet, Si sawat) is a slate blue-grey, short-haired breed of domestic cat with a small to medium build. Its body is semi-cobby, and unusually heavy for its size. It is an intelligent and playful active cat that forms strong bonds with people. The Korat is a natural breed, and one of the oldest stable cat breeds. Originating in Phimai Thailand, it is named after its province of origin, Nakhon Ratchasima Province (typically called “Korat” by the Thai people). In Thailand, the breed is known as Si sawat, meaning “color of the sawat seed”. The Korat is known colloquially as the “good luck cat”. Traditionally, they are given in pairs to newlyweds or people who are highly esteemed, for good luck. Until recently, Korats were not sold, but only given as gifts.

their story in the post is that they stole some anne rice books or whatever because the bitch librarians told them that it wasn’t appropriate for a little girl and they’re getting email about a $5000 fine 10 years later. had a feeling i could prove it was false so I messaged them about it, asked them what specific “hick-fuckville louisiana” it was, presumably they had to quickly look one up and had the bad luck of choosing the town with the library that I worked at at the time. our fines expired after 18 months and had a cap of $100, we didn’t even keep user data for cards that haven’t been used in more than 4 years

If you did not order anything and nobody else did. Or if the package seems to be odd. Call your local police department and report that there is a unidentified package at your home and ask for assistance with it.
There have been 3 package bombings in Austin so far. One on March 3rd and two of them today(3/12/18). There are 3 reported deaths and one injury. These bombs are detonated via movement and opening and were believed to be placed at night.
Due to the fact that all 3 houses that were targeted were people of color (first two victims were black and the third was latinx) it is possible that this could be the results of a hate crime, however the reasons and culprits have not yet been found.

They had a Black historian look at their past issues and analyze them to discuss how the images and words they used were racist and the effects that racism had on people who read the magazine. It’s far more than a lot of other institutions have done. I don’t presume to know whether or how we can ever atone for racism (cough, REPARATIONS) but it does seem like a first step is acknowledging what you did was wrong and that you harmed people, apologizing, and then changing.
