In light of Mark Salling

In order to avoid triggering people, I’m putting this below the cut. My opinion of pedophilia:

It’s not an innate orientation. Which does mean I think it can be changed – but that requires that the pedophile in question stop watching child porn and videos titled things like ‘teen gets railed by her father.’ If they stop purposefully reinforcing the dopamine pathways that make them associate children and sex, they’ll be able to get off to grown people like normal human beings – basically, they’ll be able to ping the buttons with simple stimulation.

If they truly ‘can’t help it’ and are ‘non-offending’, however, then they doubly need to stay the hell away from child porn, get constant therapy, and accept with good grace that they can’t safely be within ten feet of a child. IMO, having sexual fantasies about a child is abuse of that child, even if you don’t lay a finger on them.

It’s ironic that these guys (because the vast majority of them are male) dig in their heels and publicly scream that it’s part of their identity and it’s innate and they can’t help it and they’re NOT bad at all, because in doing so, they are reinforcing the convictions of – if not helping to create – other pedophiles.

I’ve been meaning to put this together for awhile, but here are the top favorites, in no particular order. 99% Bagginshield, with some Thorinduil, Thorin/OC, Dworin, and Dwalin/Thorin/Bilbo thrown in. Warning, this list is long and contains some select few Non-con/Dub-con fics as well. 

Fair warning, I’m going to be pretty frank about why I find these fics appealing.

– The Sleeping Series – Bagginshield – in particular “And No Rest Shall We Find” and “Moments Before Waking”. Thorin/Bilbo at Beorn’s mostly, with great banter in addition to scorchingly hot smut scenes. My fetish can be best described as “detailed descriptions of Thorin getting off” and goddamn do these fics deliver, as does everything by keelywolfe. Seriously well-written is something you can always rely on from this author, along with lush descriptions and punch-in-the-gut-from-Aphrodite moments of hotness. Basically, if it has Thorin writhing in uncontrollable pleasure, I am here for it.

Try to read through the Glee cast’s tributes to Mark Salling without feeling sick, I dare you. Matthew Morrison used an angel emoji to represent him. One of the producers tweeted “if you’re without sin, feel free to cast stones” as if our flaws and mistakes are somehow comparable to downloading depraved images of children. This is further proof that paedophilia and sexual abuse is considered normal in Hollywood. They openly pay tributes to them, completely oblivious to the fact that those of us outside of their demented little bubble don’t find it quite so easy to feel sad when sexual predators die.

somebodys gonna take the “socializing in a friendly manner with the FBI agent monitoring me” too literally and make a whole rant about how it’s actually really horrible that we’re humanizing and undemonize the fbi and it’s creepy big brother schtick and half of the website is gonna feel guilty and embarrassed for laughing at this joke and will avoid posts that even mention the fbi and the other half are gonna send death threats to the op of the original post and they’re gonna get driven off of tumblr saying some shit like “I’ve realized how toxic and unwelcoming this website is I need some time for myself” and then months later somebody’s gonna point out how it was a coping mechanism form of humor because we literally can do nothing about the fbi monitoring us and then everyone will feel stupid no matter what side they took and we’ll all silently agree to never bring it up again until five years from now in one of those “memes from 2018” posts
