Ok, hear me out: Two authors. Ten chapters. One fic.
Two genres.
Each author gets five chapters, interwoven. (choose who starts, the other gets to end)
Each author also gets a seperate, completely opposing genre or trope.
They must respect the fiction of all previously written chapters. However, during their chapter, they must, to the best of their writing ability, wrench the story out of its previous genre or trope and back into theirs.
I just want to read a story that can’t decide if it’s a college AU or a Pacific Rim monster slayer. Half romance, half murder thriller. Half law procedural, half sitcom. Half Harry Potter au, half medical drama.
Kangaroos are animals that seem like they should be cryptids but it’s an entire species.
A kangaroo standing straight up is so deeply unsettling. It’s like you’re a furry who wished for anthropomorphic animals to be real and then it happened and you’re like NO DO NOT LIKE.
Kangaroos are dumb cause females only breed with the ones with the most muscles/testosterone so the entire species is roid raging itself to extinction
The second IT movie being set in 2016 is a gold mine for crack fic, tbh.
I would pay money to read about Pennywise trying old good tactics to scare a random kid stressed out about grades, only for the kid to sigh, go “oh great I’m seeing shit again where are my meds” and walk right past it.
“Turn into their greatest fear right how the fuck do I represent global warming do I take the shape of a stove or”
