Saw this on Essence Magazine’s Snapchat and thought it would be helpful💕

Yeah seriously, sex education never told me any of this in school. Little me was panicked seeing the dark coloured bits and i had no clue that’s just the normal colour blood goes when its clotted or dried.

Also keep in mind that it’s perfectly normal for the blood and tissue to be “stretchy” and feel like there’s mucus mixed in.

dogs are so good

I’m so glad this shows different types of dogs as service dogs. So many people I know think service dogs MUST be breeds like labs, golden, or poodles. I saw a post not too long ago where a woman was accusing someone of having a fake service dog because their service dog was a Staffy and “that is very obviously NOT an allowed service dog breed.”

ANY BREED CAN BE A SERVICE DOG BREED. THERE ARE NO BREED REQUIREMENTS FOR SERVICE DOGS.

Speaking as an owner of a lovely black cat

@mostlycatsmostly

Someone please explain to me how this stinky lil goober can be bad luck.

This guy saved me just like we saved him. He is best luck.

Poot is my precious angel bean! Definitely not bad luck!

The only bad luck is tripping over him in the dark and his farts

In many countries black cats are considered lucky rather than unlucky. Either way, they’re just cats and deserve kindness, like any other cat.

Korat

The Korat (Khorat, Malet, Si sawat) is a slate blue-grey, short-haired breed of domestic cat with a small to medium build.  Its body is semi-cobby, and unusually heavy for its size. It is an intelligent and playful active cat that forms strong bonds with people. The Korat is a natural breed, and one of the oldest stable cat breeds. Originating in Phimai Thailand, it is named after its province of origin, Nakhon Ratchasima Province (typically called “Korat” by the Thai people). In Thailand, the breed is known as Si sawat, meaning “color of the sawat seed”. The Korat is known colloquially as the “good luck cat”. Traditionally, they are given in pairs to newlyweds or people who are highly esteemed, for good luck. Until recently, Korats were not sold, but only given as gifts.

“[…] until I saw myself on film, I never realized that I’m quite big. We don’t see ourselves in the same way. It always shocks me when I see myself on film like, “I’m quite taller than that person” or “I’m quite broader than that person.” Again, it’s another thing that I’m kind of glad that I’m not aware of because I want to be able to play anything.”  [x]
