Legolas pretty quickly gets in the habit of venting about his travelling companions in Elvish, so long as Gandalf & Aragorn aren’t in earshot they’ll never know right?
Then about a week into their journey like
Legolas: *in Elvish, for approximately the 20th time* ugh fucking hobbits, so annoying
Frodo: *also in Elvish, deadpan* yeah we’re the worst
Legolas:
~*~earlier~*~
Legolas: ugh fucking hobbits
Merry: Frodo what’d he say
Frodo: I’m not sure he speaks a weird dialect but I think he’s insulting us. I should tell him I can understand Elvish
In case you haven’t been on Twitter lately the most recent discourse is that a vegan consoled a crying child and gave her money for ice cream, and another vegan made a callout because she didn’t tell the child to buy vegan ice cream.
I actually just heard about this on the radio; the Michael Berry Show on WRNO 99.5. The hospital was trying to harvest his organs, and declared him dead. His father barricaded the door, and held an entire swat team at bay, until his son squeezed his hand, awake from a forced coma.
It gets better…
The swat team brought their own doctors who, after finally securing the room, started to check the kid. Turns out, the kid was fine, after waking up from the coma.
It gets better…
After the swat team doctors checked out the kid, there was a nurse who came in to “check” on the kid. The swat doctors asked to see her orders. Turns out she didn’t have any. What she did have was a 50cc syringe in her pocket, full of a powerful sedative. 5cc’s were enough to put someone in a deep coma. There were 50cc’s in the syringe, more than enough to euthanize the kid.
It gets better…
Swat doctors took her into custody. She refused to talk. They got a warrant and started checking into the deaths happening at the hospital. Turns out, there were a great many “quick decisions” made by hospital staff, for patients to be put into medically induced comas, from which they never woke up. All of which were finalized with organ transplants. Organ transplants which the families of the deceased did not know about.
TL:DR The hospital was euthanizing patients after illegally putting them into medical comas, then harvesting their organs.
Holy shit
What the fuck
this is what capitalism does to medicine
🤔🤔🤔 wondering how many of those people were people of color
so, i can find no source confirming that the hospital was performing illegal organ harvesting, the fact that the person who added that information doesn’t provide a name for the doctor or even the name of the “sedative” is incredibly suspect in and of itself.
oh also the person who added that addition follows Nazi blogs, soooooo im thinking he isn’t the most ethically inclined person. what im saying is, I think the Washington Post would have a few words to say if illegal harvesting was going on.
im not saying that the hospital did the right thing. but given the information they had, i can see why they went with the treatment course that they did. George Pickering III had a stroke, it wasn’t a forced coma, his stroke left him dependent on life support and he appeared to be brain dead. if I were his doctor, I don’t think my prognosis would have been “full recovery”. however George Pickering II should have gotten in touch with hospital administration, and not drunkenly threaten people with a firearm.
tl;dr: person who posted the part about illegal organ harvesting is full of bullshit, doctors are not going to drug you and remove your organs if you go to a hospital. that’s ridiculous.
The policy position for a president Sanders or any Dem who gets the nomination and dares call themselves a progressive should be the continuation of the policy Trump stumbled into which is do nothing and let the two Koreas self-determine. Just without the drunken twitter threats!
All the credit to the Moon administration for rebuking Trump & Co’s threat of a preemptive strike and signaling to Kim that the South is willing to negotiate independent of any directives from Washington!
An actual historical miracle, folks are going to look back on this moment in history as a time of hope.
